The Binaytara Foundation, a cancer health nonprofit based in Bellingham, established the first cancer center in southeast Nepal. Donations from people like you have helped make this project a reality. Do you want to help us continue to expand our ability to care for patients in this impoverished region? Consider dedicating your hike to raising money for equipment at the cancer center. Keep in mind, these are just suggestions. You may dedicate your hike for anyone or anything you like.
Don’t forget, raising $500 on your pledge page enters you into a raffle drawing for a two-night stay for two at Zion National Park. Below is a list of items for which you may fundraise:
Surgery is an important aspect of cancer treatment. We are working on establishing surgical services at the Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center. The cost to purchase all operating room equipment is $125,000. Any amounts you raise will help us purchase the necessary equipment for the operating room.
The current Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center will have a 3-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to care for critically ill cancer patients who need close monitoring and care. The cost to develop a 3-bed intensive care unit (equipment and set up) is estimated to be $100,000.
Amounts you raise will help us develop the necessary infrastructure for the Intensive Care Unit.
