Radiology services are extremely important for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Development of this service will also require purchase of radiology equipment such as X-ray, Ultrasound, CT scan etc. and recruitment and training of manpower to provide these services.
We will contract with an outside radiologist on a fee for service basis to start the program and will hire a full-time radiologist within a year when the demand for the service increases. We will also hire one radiology technician after the equipment is purchased .
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) & Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan are some of the highly specific radiology tests for identifying, staging, and monitoring cancer. It requires purchase of expensive equipment and trained technicians to provide the service. We plan to start providing these services at BTFCC by December 2021.
