This past year I have been an intern here at the Binaytara Foundation. I have seen firsthand the work that the foundation does both here in the PNW and abroad in Nepal. I couldn’t be more excited than to put together this year’s Northwest Cancer Climb and raise money to build a Women’s Cancer Center at the hospital in Nepal! I have always been very passionate about advocating for healthcare in resource-poor communities and I am excited that I have been given a platform to do so. Please help me raise money to provide the women of rural Nepal a chance for cancer care, education, and world-class treatment!

Northwest Cancer Climb events are recurring hiking events in the Pacific Northwest. Funds raised go toward local patient advocacy, and the Binaytara Foundation’s cancer center in southeast Nepal.

My name is Sam McChesney, and I am currently an intern at the Binaytara Foundation. I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a second in Clinical Neuroscience. During my time at Tech I fell in love with public health and advocating for access to healthcare for those in need. In August I will begin my Masters of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta.
As grandparents, We are so proud of Sam and her work in public health… The world needs more folks like her!
